The 2021 Ford Edge: High-Powered, High-Tech, and High-Class

The 2021 Ford Edge: High-Powered, High-Tech, and High-Class

As the only SUV designed from the ground up by the racing-oriented minds at Ford Performance, the Ford Edge has a reputation for power, tech, and style. For 2021, the Edge returns with key upgrades to on-board technology and design, exceptional safety features, and premium Ford Performance power.

New Technology and New Styling

For 2021, Ford has added impressive upgrades to the Edge’s appearance and on-board technology. Cosmetically, the Edge has received new wheel designs and two new gray exterior paint colors.

In addition, the 2021 Ford Edge has been equipped with acoustic-laminated glass on the front and side windows in order to achieve a quieter ride. Rear parking sensors have also been added as standard features across all trim levels. Furthermore, the top-of-the-line Edge ST trim will offer a standard six-way power-adjustable passenger seat and a standard heated steering wheel as well.

By far the biggest change on the 2021 Ford Edge comes by way of it’s fully-upgraded infotainment system, which now includes Ford’s all-new SYNC 4 technology and a bright and beautiful 12-inch touchscreen control panel.

Premium Safety and Assistance

The 2021 Ford Edge makes safety a priority. Last year, the Edge received both a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

For 2021, this award-winning safety system returns. The Edge now offers automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring as standard features.

Ford Performance Tuning For Exceptional Power

The 2021 Ford Edge is once again one of the most powerful crossovers on the market, offering multiple engine options across a variety of trims.

For most trims, the 250-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine will return. However, the much sportier Edge ST will now have access to the 2.7L twin-turbocharged V6 engine, which is capable of producing an impressive 335-horsepower.
